Breaking News: Annecy Festival/MIFA presents Keynote by Chris Meledandri, CEO Illumination Entertainment

Meledandri first person to receive Mifa & Variety’s Animation Personality of the year - Award

To celebrate its 30^th yearMifa & Variety's Animation Personality of the year !

The Mifa will have lots of fresh things to offer: keynote speeches with opportunities to communicate with big names in the animation industry as well as the creation of a prize,

We've chosen a particularly emblematic figure to be the 1st recipient of this prize: Chris Meledandri who will also be one of the keynote speakers.

Founder and CEO of Illumination Entertainment, he is the force behind the Despicable Me, Ice Age and the animated Dr. Seuss franchises which have collectively grossed over $4.9 billion worldwide. Meledandri has built Illumination into one of the entertainment industry’s leading producers of all-audience event films, including the Despicable Me franchise, Hop and Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. Future Illumination films include Minions (2015),The Secret Life of Pets (2016), Despicable Me 3 (2017) and Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (2017). 

On the Festival side, in line with Chris Meledandri's presence, MINIONS (3D) will be in Annecy for a sneak preview!

The film, set for release in France on 8^th July 2015, will be shown in 3D in the original version with French subtitles.
