Hier also der sechste und letzte Teil unserer Interviews mit den Machern von RIO 2 - zum Abschluß unterhalten wir uns mit Regisseur Carlos Saldanha. Ich darf anmerken, dass es demnächst noch ein ausführlicheres Interview mit Carlos geben wird, dies aber in schriftlicher Form, nicht als Video.

INDAC-Interviews: Die Macher von RIO 2 Part One

Am Donnerstag, den 3. April startet RIO 2 in den deutschen Kinos.
Aus Anlaß des Filmstarts hatten mich die 20th Cent Fox und das Blue Sky Studio nach Connecticut eingeladen, um dort vor Ort mit sechs verschiedenen Künstlern des Films zu reden.
Diese sechs Interviews wurden auf Video aufgezeichnet, so daß ich Euch diese hier auf dem INDAC Blog präsentieren kann.
Beginnen möchte ich heute mit dem Gespräch mit Supervising Animator Melvin Tan.
Als ich ihm das Interview zur Abnahme schickte, schrieb Melvin folgendes zurück:
"Hi Johannes, thanks for checking in with me. I think it looks great!!! But could you help me mention that it was thanks to the amazing talent of the whole animation crew that really helped in creating the wonderful performances that we see on screen. Thanks. That's it!! Much appreciated again."
Das habe ich also hiermit gemacht!
In den kommenden Tagen folgen Interviews mit
Art Director Tom Cardone zusammen mit Lead Sculptor Vicki Saulls,
Rigging TD Sabine Heller,
Lighting Supervisor Jeeyun Sung Chisholm,
Stereo Supervisor Dan Abramovich
und mit Regisseur Carlos Saldanha.
Ich würde mich ungeheuer über Feedback freuen, ich habe so etwas noch nie gemacht, in der Form hat dies Blue Sky und die Fox dies ebenfalls noch nie erlaubt. Deshalb wäre es für mich ungeheuer interesant zu wissen, ob dies für Euch interessant ist und wir uns um mehr bemühen sollten, mehr davon zu bekommmen.

I was invited by 20th Cent Fox and Blue Sky Studios to visit the Studio in Connecticut for RIO 2.
They allowed me to interview six artists - those interviews were filmed and so I am able to present them over the next few days here on my Blog.
I want to start here with the talk with supervising animator Melvin Tan. When I send him the interview afterwards for checking, he wrote back:
"Hi Johannes, thanks for checking in with me. I think it looks great!!! But could you help me mention that it was thanks to the amazing talent of the whole animation crew that really helped in creating the wonderful performances that we see on screen. Thanks. That's it!! Much appreciated again."
So keep that in mind!
